Raising the Bar Once More

Global Customer Traction
The last few months have been extraordinarily busy and very successful for PROLIN. We've seen a number of customer wins in the US, Europe and Australia, and we're optimistic we'll see that number double with additional conversions before the end of the year in Spain, Russia, Germany, Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium and North America. We're working with customers to create case studies about their transition to PROLIN Smart Suite 10 in as little as 4 hours (see The 4 Hour Challenge below). PROLIN Smart Client 10 SR5 Released
We've released one major version and six minor versions of our flagship PROLIN Smart Client 10 product this year. Due to our short release cycles, supported by our Test Driven Development (TDD) engineering methodology, we can respond very quickly to requests for changes from our customers. PROLIN Smart Client 10 SR5 was released on November 21, 2011, and builds upon the dozens of additional functions and features that have been provided beyond the current HPSD 4.5 feature set. Improvements in SR5 over SR4 (Sep 2011) include more than 30 minor bug fixes, a number of enhancement requests and a major new function called "Extended Scheduler Views". Read on to learn more about that "magic" functionality.
Extended Scheduler Views in Smart Client 10 SR5
In addition to the many improvements and new features in PROLIN Smart Client 10 SR5 we've added something you've been wanting for a long time - Extended Scheduler Views! With Extended Scheduler Views you have an unparalleled perspective into high level project management, resource planning and visualization of all objects in the ITSM environment that have a time line associated with them. You can visualize all changes related to a particular service or configuration item and view all work orders for your specific work group - even segmented by individual. The options are limitless in this extremely user friendly and incredibly useful new feature. Your welcome!
PROLIN Power Server 2.0 - Unbreakable? (or Australia vs. The Power Server)
As stated above – with TDD we adhere to the most rigorous testing protocols in the industry. Here’s a report from our Australian expert trying to break PROLIN Power Server 10 down, down under.....
“Decided to see if I could break Power Server. Loaded onto my server (ancient 2006 Dell w/single core Pentium) a database with: 300K Service Calls, 24,532 Person Records, 937 Internal Organizations, 292 Work groups and countless CI's. Total size of SQL server: 9 GB of data. Started 8 instances of Power Server on my single server – all talked to each other perfectly. On my laptop: 5 VM desktops, mix of Windows 7 and Windows XP running multiple versions of PROLIN Smart Client (SR4, SR5T1 and the SR4 demo version) with 2 clients per Workstation. Result? 10 Clients connecting to 8 server instances. Power Servers handled all requests.
Shut down all Power Servers but one. Active clients automatically pointed to remaining server with no disruption and continued work as normal. Created Scheduler View to load 25,000+ calls/work orders/changes/etc., for 235 staff members. View full of information loaded. Started multiple clients loading same view. All worked.
Decision? WIN to Power Server! Loss for Australia! FYI: Large DB responded faster with Power Server than the SD Application Server."
