Modern “Smart Client” User Interface

The PROLIN Smart Client 10 User Interface (UI) looks similar to the UI in familiar, modern products such as Microsoft Office 2007.  This lowers the learning curve for your new users.

General Look and Feel

The old-fashioned HP Service Desk 4.5 uses several UI controls (based on ActiveX technology) from a variety of third party vendors.  This has resulted in inconsistencies in both the look and the feel of its controls. Examples are found in Project Views, Chart Views, and other areas. Because PROLIN Smart Client 10 is based on the UI component suite from a single vendor, the look and feel is highly consistent throughout the entire client application.

Ribbon

The “ribbon” is a new UI concept, introduced in MS Office 2007 applications, which is used in PROLIN Smart Client 10.

It replaces the traditional main menu and toolbars.
