That brings the number of service packs supported by Smart Client to 13 (SP22 - SP34)!

PROLIN’s Smart Client 7 delivers a state-of-the-art, high-performance, smart client interface as a seamless add-on that extends the functionality of HP Service Desk 4.5.

Most important new features in this milestone release are:
 

  • Completion of advanced find
  • UI rules integration (except for the dynamic forms rule)
  • Smart action support in data forms
  • Filter customization support on views
  • Re-enabled 3D support on chart views
  • Variable expansion in advanced find text fields also supports WMI variables

 

Next to that a bunch of smaller enhancements and bug fixes. The total numbers of unit tests has grown to 8891 (95.7% test coverage).

This second BETA release replaces the first BETA which has been tested over the last couple of months.
Please uninstall any versions you might currently have installed first; due to the fact that we now have an official authenticode certificate, you will need to go to http://phoenix.prolin.com, login and download the newest version from there.

In this version we're introducing the brandnew graphical CMDB explorer, enhanced "search-by-date" capabilities in the advanced find dialog, storage of screen dimensions, some new fields (and enhancements), improved form layout, bubble charts, support for the latest OVSD servicepack (SP32) and last but not least a bunch of smaller enhancements and bug fixes. The total numbers of tests has grown to 7957 (95.3% test coverage).

And smart it is because we've added support for OVSD service packs 23 to 31! This is the first client for OVSD that provides this capability. Just a single installation and depending on the server you're accesing some additional support files will be downloaded on demand. Switching to another server version? No sweat, PROLIN Smart Client is able to detect the server version and act accordingly. No hassle, just working as it should be. This proves that our Adaptive Smart Client Architecture is ready for the future and already starting to get ahead of the competition. 

Of course there is plenty of other stuff like improved view customization support, lots of smaller fixes, and lots more.
